RESERVATIONS


  • What is the Coastal Chateau's address?

    Our address is 601 Atlantic Ave, Ocean City, NJ 08226. The Coastal Chateau is conveniently situated on the corner and offers two designated loading zones for easy luggage drop-off. We are located directly across from Ocean City High School and just one block away from the beach and boardwalk.

  • What time is check-in?

    Check-in begins at 4:00 pm ET daily. We offer early check-in for an additional fee; however, this cannot be guaranteed at the time of booking. You will receive an email prior to your arrival providing the opportunity to purchase early check-in or late check-out. While we strive to accommodate these requests, availability cannot be guaranteed for all stays.

  • How do I check-in?

    Before your arrival, you will receive a 4-digit access code via email and text message. This code will grant you entry to both the front door of the property and your designated room. Our contactless, 24/7 check-in system allows you to conveniently access your room according to your schedule, without the need to wait in line.

  • When and how do I check-out?

    Check-out time is at 11am ET. Prior to departure, please ensure you have returned your complimentary beach tags to the designated location and removed your vehicle from Charlie Lot if you parked there. 

  • Can I request early check-in & late check-out?

    Yes, we offer early check-in and late check-out for a fee. To request early check-in, please watch for an email from us before your arrival. This email will provide details on how to purchase early check-in or late check-out based on availability."

  • What if I arrive before check-in time and early check-in is not available?

    If you arrive before check-in and early check-in options are not available, we’ll gladly store your luggage until your room is ready. 


    However, please note that the Coastal Chateau does not accept responsibility for any items left in storage. You may prefer to keep luggage safely secured in your vehicle until your room is ready. We strongly advise packing light, particularly if you’re staying on one of our upper floors.

  • Do you offer luggage drop-off or storage?

    Before you park, please utilize our convenient luggage loading zones located directly in front of the property. If you arrive before check-in, we'll gladly store your luggage in a designated area until your room is ready. Please note that Coastal Chateau does not accept responsibility for any items left in storage.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Reservations are fully refundable without penalties up to (10) days prior to check-in.

    Reservations canceled within (10) days will not be refunded or credited, and will be charged in full. No refunds are given for early departure or inclement weather. In the event of rain, we have a lobby fully stocked with games and a covered wrap-around patio for guests to enjoy. To cancel a reservation, please email us at hello@coastalchateauocnj.com.    

  • Do you have minimum stay requirements?

    We offer flexible booking options with no minimum stay requirements for most weekdays. However, during busy periods, such as holidays and weekends, we may have minimum stay requirements in place. Additionally, our larger apartment accommodations and special offers may have unique minimum night stay requirements based on availability and demand.

  • Do you have parking?

    We offer off-site parking for an additional $20 per night at the Charlie lot down the street, which is an approximate 5-10 minute walk away. Only one vehicle is allowed per reservation and must be registered at check-in to avoid fines and towing. Due to limited parking spaces, we recommend guests purchase parking in advance of their stay. Please note that we cannot guarantee a spot for every room, and availability may not be guaranteed on the day of your arrival.

  • Do you offer breakfast?

    We offer complimentary grab-and-go breakfast options for guests like freshly brewed coffee, an assortment of teas, fresh fruits, and granola bars for your convenience. Additionally, we encourage you to support local breakfast spots in our community, so please feel free to ask our team for suggestions & check out list in the room! 


    The former Atlantis Inn used to have a full breakfast, but we do not offer that option.

  • Do you provide beach tags for hotel guests?

    Yes! We offer complimentary beach tags per room reservation (different # per occupancy of room - see booking description) that must be returned at the time of checkout. Failure to return beach tags in the drop box will result in $100 each tag replacement fee charged to your card used to book your stay.

  • What is the pet policy?

    We know that pets are part of your family, and we're delighted to welcome them in any of our pet-friendly, private-access apartments on the ground floor (Ocean Villa, Garden Villa and Sunscape Villa). We welcome domestic pets such as dogs and cats (maximum of 2 per room). For any other types of pets, please contact the hotel directly to inquire about accommodations at hello@coastalchateauocnj.com. 


    A non-refundable pet fee of $35 per night (per pet) will be charged and includes pet-friendly amenities, such as treats, water bowls and waste disposal bags. Guests are responsible for any damages caused by their pets to the hotel property. An additional credit card charge of $250 or more will be applied for deep-cleaning or repairs due to pets.   


    All pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations and be free of fleas/ticks.  Pets must be well-behaved and non-disruptive to other guests. Excessive barking or aggressive behavior will not be allowed and you may be asked to leave. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets both inside the room and on hotel grounds.

  • Do you have to be a minimum age to book a room?

    You must be 25 years or older to confirm a room accommodation at the Coastal Chateau.  A valid photo ID must be presented at the time of check-in for identity verification.

  • How is my room guaranteed?

    Reservations are guaranteed with a valid credit card at the time of booking. No on-site payments will be allowed and additional purchases (such as parking or early check-in) will be charged to the card on file. 

  • Do you offer special occasion packages & decor?

    Yes, we offer personalized decorations for special occasions, such as birthdays, anniversaries and other events. We'll be delighted to assist you in making your celebration memorable with our special room decor options!

ACCOMODATIONS


  • How far is the hotel from the beach/boardwalk?

    The hotel is conveniently located just one block from the beach and boardwalk, directly behind Gillian’s Wonderland Pier.

  • Is there housekeeping service daily?

    To limit unwanted contact, in-room housekeeping will only be offered for guest rooms (not apartments) by request during your stay. Should any guest room or apartment need fresh towels or linens, please message us at hello@coastalchateauocnj.com.

  • What accommodations are pet friendly?

    We know that pets are part of your family, and we're delighted to welcome them in any of our pet-friendly, private-access apartments on the ground floor (Ocean Villa, Garden Villa & Sunscape Villa). These accommodations  are referred to as “villas” on the website and will have a pet-friendly designation in the room title. 

  • Do you have accessible rooms?

    Unfortunately, the Coastal Chateau is located in a historic building without an elevator, accessible solely via stairs. Unfortunately, this includes steep steps and a winding staircase. Although we prioritize inclusivity, architectural constraints prevent alternative access to guest rooms at this property. We are committed to providing assistance or accommodations to individuals with disabilities, despite structural limitations, whenever possible.   • Do you have connecting rooms?

    While we do not offer connecting rooms, we do offer a number of different sized accomodrations for your group.  Our Queen/King rooms sleep a maximum of (2) people while our Double Queen Rooms sleep (4).  If you are staying with a larger group, please book multiple rooms or explore our larger apartment offerings.

  • Can I smoke in my room?

    No. The Coastal Chateau is a smoke free property (including marijuana). All of our rooms, including apartments, common areas and outdoor spaces are strictly non-smoking. 


    This policy applies to all conventional smoking and electronic smoking devices, such as vapes, vaporizers, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes, e-cigarettes, e-cigs, e-pipes, and any similar products. 


    Guests found smoking in the rooms or leaving noticeable lingering smoking odors will be subject to a $250 room cleaning fee.

  • Do you offer TV Streaming In-Rooms?

    Yes, all  rooms are equipped with TVs featuring streaming capabilities for your entertainment. Whether you're looking to catch up on your favorite shows or enjoy a movie, you can unwind and relax in the comfort of your room. 

  • Are there fridges in all of the rooms?

    Yes, mini fridges are available in all  rooms for your convenience. You can store beverages, snacks, and small food items during your stay. Our rooms are equipped with these amenities to enhance your comfort and provide you with the flexibility to enjoy refreshments at your convenience.

  • Do you provide storage for beach equipment?

    We kindly request that guests leave beach chairs and other equipment outside the Coastal Chateau. For your convenience, beach items can be stored under the main outdoor staircase. 


    Before returning to your room, please ensure that sandy items are brushed off as a courtesy to fellow guests. 


    The Coastal Chateau does not take responsibility or accept liability for damage, accident or loss of items.

  • Do you have WiFi?

    Yes, we offer complimentary high-speed WiFi to all our guests. Our WiFi system is powered by fiber optics, ensuring fast and reliable internet access throughout the property, including our roof deck area. Whether you're streaming, working, or staying connected with loved ones, you can enjoy seamless connectivity during your stay.


    *Please note: Our fiber optic system is expected to be installated by June 1st, but cannot be guarenteed at this time. 

  • Do you provide beach tags for hotel guests?

    We offer (2) complimentary beach tags per room reservation that must be returned at the time of checkout. Failure to return beach tags in the drop box will result in $45 replacement fee charged to your card used to book your stay.

  • Does Coastal Chateau have a fitness center, pool, or spa?

    While we do not have a fitness center, pool, or spa on the property, we invite guests to indulge in our other delightful amenities. You can relax and take in the views from our panoramic roof deck, unwind on the wrap-around porch and enjoy the serene ambiance of our lobby. Additionally, your rooms have been adorned with a number of spa-like amenities to ensure a relaxing stay.   • What brand of toiletries do you provide?

    Our bathrooms feature luxurious 'Salt & Stone' bath products, including body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap. Each room is also equipped with a vanity kit, shower cap, branded terrycloth robes, and plush slippers for your comfort.

  • Do you have an outside area to lounge at?

    Our iconic rooftop deck is open to all Coastal Chateau guests, providing breathtaking views and high-speed WiFi for those who wish to work outdoors. Our rooftop deck offers the ideal setting for both relaxation and productivity during your stay.

  • What are the closest airports?

    The closest airports to Ocean City, New Jersey, are Atlantic City International Airport (ACY), located approximately 30 miles away, and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), located approximately 65 miles away. Both airports offer convenient options for travelers visiting Ocean City and the surrounding area.

  • Do you offer group rates and wedding/event room blocks?

    We would be delighted to create a customized promotional offer tailored to your group's size and preferred dates.   • Can we rent out the entire hotel?

    Yes, you can! For inquiries about renting out the entire hotel for your event or gathering, please email us at hello@coastalchateauocnj.com. We will be happy to provide you with more information and look forward to hosting your special occasion. 

  • Are you open year round?

    Yes, we are a seasonal hotel open every day from mid-May to mid-October. During this period, we welcome guests daily. In the fall and winter months, we transition to weekend operations with special offerings and promotions. For specific dates and availability during the off-season, please feel free to contact us or visit our website for updates. 

  • Can I send mail and packages to the hotel?

    Since the Coastal Chateau has multiple entrances, some of which are private apartments for specific guests, we do not recommend shipping items to the hotel. If you choose to order something to the hotel, please note that all deliveries are at your own risk.
